Join Our Vero Beach Real Estate Team

We’re looking for agents in Vero Beach, and you don’t need experience to talk to us. We’re open to new agents and to people who are still working on a Florida real estate license. If you haven’t started yet, you can begin your pre-licensing course online and call me while you study.

Who should call us

You’re getting your license now. Call before you take the exam. You’ll need an active broker before you can work, so it pays to choose one early.

You just got your license. You don’t need to know how to run a business yet. Most people don’t on day one.

You’re licensed and want a change. Call me and we’ll compare your current setup with ours.

What you get here

Someone who has done this for a long time. I’ve been in real estate since 2002. I started a brokerage in Chicago, launched Keller Williams in the UK, and served as Area Director for KW in South Florida. That region had 35 offices and about 7,000 agents. I’ve hired and trained hundreds of agents, and you can read the rest of my story here.

Marketing you can learn from. I’m one of the owners of Foxtown Marketing, a Vero Beach firm that does SEO, paid ads, and content. Many new agents never learn how to get found. You’ll learn it from someone who does it every day.

A market worth learning. Vero Beach has one of the highest shares of cash buyers in the country, and many buyers are moving down from the north. We also work in Sebastian, Indian River Shores, Orchid, John’s Island, and Fort Pierce. Our community guides are a good place to start.

A public brokerage behind you. We work with The Real Brokerage Inc. (Nasdaq: REAX). I’ll show you every split and fee before you sign anything.

What this job is

You’d work as an independent contractor, paid by commission. There’s no salary, and I won’t promise you an income. You get paid when deals close, and your first one can take months.

We also hold to a few rules. Clients hear back the same day. We tell them where things stand, even when the news is bad. I’d rather lose a sale than push someone into the wrong home. If that sounds right to you, you’ll fit in here.

How to get your Florida real estate license

  1. Check the basics. You must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
  2. Finish the 63-hour pre-licensing course. You can take it online through The CE Shop or use any other state-approved school.
  3. Apply to the state. Send your application to the Florida DBPR and submit your fingerprints.
  4. Pass the state exam. You need at least 75%. The CE Shop also sells exam prep if you want more practice.
  5. Activate your license with a broker. This is where we come in.
  6. Finish your 45-hour post-licensing course. You must do this before your first renewal.

Talk to me

Tell me where you are in the process, and we’ll work out your next step. We’ll start with a conversation, not a sales pitch.

Call or text (772) 999-4457, email jon@jonsterling.com, or reach out here. If you’re not ready to call, start your course and get in touch when you’re ready.
