Vero Beach sits on Florida’s Atlantic coast in Indian River County, about halfway between Miami and Orlando. It is part of the Treasure Coast, a stretch of coastline known for its natural beauty, laid-back pace, and tight-knit communities. Unlike the heavily developed Gold Coast to the south, Vero Beach has maintained its small-town character while still offering everything a seasonal resident needs.

This is why snowbirds come here. From November through April, Vero Beach enjoys warm, sunny days with average highs in the 70s and low 80s and very little rain. The humidity is lower than South Florida during winter months, making it one of the most comfortable climates in the state during peak snowbird season.

The beaches here are the real deal. Miles of clean, uncrowded sand with warm Atlantic water and no high-rise condos blocking the view. Popular spots include South Beach Park, Humiston Beach, and Jaycee Park. Culture, Dining, and Entertainment

Vero Beach punches well above its weight when it comes to culture. The Riverside Theatre hosts professional productions year-round. The Vero Beach Museum of Art is one of the largest art museums in Florida. Downtown along Ocean Drive and 14th Avenue, you will find locally owned restaurants, boutique shops, and a farmers market that draws crowds every Saturday morning.

Oceanfront condos, beachside communities, and easy access to shops and restaurants along Ocean Drive. The most sought-after location for seasonal residents.

Mainland Communities

More affordable options with larger lots, newer construction, and easy access to shopping, dining, and healthcare on the mainland side of Indian River County.

Healthcare and Transportation

Healthcare in Vero Beach is excellent. Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is a major regional medical center, and there are numerous specialty practices and urgent care facilities throughout the area. For air travel, Melbourne Orlando International Airport is about 35 minutes north, and Palm Beach International Airport is about 90 minutes south. Both offer direct flights to major cities throughout the Northeast, Midwest, and Canada.
