- We’re running a community garage sale in Vero Beach on SATURDAY, AUGUST 1st, from 8 AM to 1 PM, with a row of driveways open all in one morning.
- We’ll run another one of these in January so the snowbirds can participate next time. Twice a year is a good clip for cleaning out old stuff anyway.
- If you live in Vero Beach and want to sell, register below to claim your spot, get listed on the shopper map, and pull real foot traffic instead of running a lonely solo sale.
- If you just want to shop, register and I’ll send you the route map and addresses so you can plan your loop and hit the good stuff early.
- Registration is free, and the same form works for both sellers and shoppers. You just tell me which one you are.
- SELLERS: If you have special items to list that are unique or especially valuable, you can include them in the form to be sure they reach the largest number of potential shoppers.
One Saturday morning, and a whole run of driveways full of stuff that needs a new home. That’s the idea.
Instead of everyone running a separate sale on a random weekend that nobody hears about, we’re pooling it into one Vero Beach event so shoppers actually show up and sellers actually move things. I’m organizing it, and registration is open now.

Selling? Here’s how it works
If you’re in Vero Beach and you’ve got things to clear out, register as a seller. Here’s what you get and what’s on you.
What you get:
- Your address on the shopper map, so the people driving the route actually find your driveway
- Promotion as part of one bigger event, which pulls far more buyers than a sale nobody knew about
- Signage around town, and some ads and promotion on Facebook & Instagram
- The ability to list specialty items or unique offerings
What’s on you:
- Run your own driveway. Set your own prices, handle your own cash, and keep small bills on hand for change.
- Be set up by 7:45 AM so the early birds have something to look at. Many of the treasure hunters like to start early.
- The official end time is 1PM, but you can stay open as long as you’d like. Anything that doesn’t sell, the local thrift stores will gladly take off your hands.

Register as a shopper and I’ll send you the map with every participating address. The early hour is not an accident. The best stuff tends to go in the first ninety minutes, so plan your loop and come ready with cash and small bills.

Why I’m doing this
I sell real estate here in Vero Beach and I live here too, so I spend a lot of time thinking about what makes a neighborhood feel like one. As part of my job, I am always looking for ways to serve the community. A garage sale seems to be on-brand for what I do.
A morning where everybody’s out in their driveways, meeting the new folks, trading lawn tools and hand-me-downs, is about as good as it gets.
